Portlets were the original portal concept: self-contained mini-apps that show live data or functionality directly on your dashboard. PolySaaS will support standard portlet specifications so you can use any compliant component.

The idea behind a portal is to assist the user in maintaining an organized and easily accessible collection of stuff. It is superior than bookmarks in that it provides a complete page of options from which to choose. We go a few steps farther than that, making PolySaaS more than just a simple gateway, and allowing the user to navigate to any external or internal application, as well as gather and process data.

Although any operation inside the PolySaaS Portal is suitable for Dynamic Orchestration, the determination of necessity for such capability rests with the administrators or users. Consequently, straightforward links remain uncomplicated, while PolySaaS can provide more functionality when required.
